Fred V. Binkley



SPENCERVILLE — Fred V. Binkley, 84, of Rt. 1, died at 5:35 p.m. Monday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima, where he was admitted June 20.

Born Nov. 21, 1891, in Logan Township, Auglaize County, he was a son of Charles and Alice Boltz Binkley. On Sept. 19, 1917, he married Leona Croft, who survives.

Other survivors include five sons, Donald of Rt. 3, Wapakoneta, Darrell of Wapakoneta, Duane and Robert, both of Rt. 1, and Keith of St. Marys; three daughters, Mrs. Lyman (Greta) Mulholland and Mrs. Richard (Linda) Fryer, both of here, and Mrs. James (Sharon) Colgan of Gomer; 24 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I, a life member of the Waynesfield Disabled American Veterans and a retired employe of the Lima Ordnance Depot and farmer.

Services will be at 2 p.m.Thursday in Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Rev. Thomas McGranor officiating. Burial will be in Fort Amanda Cemetery.

Friends may call after 7 tonight at the funeral home.
