Ruth Olive Allen Blosser



Ruth Olive Allen Blosser, 95, died at 2:23 p.m. Oct. 17, 2008, at Hilty Home, Pandora.

She was born July 8, 1913, in Lima to Nellie Norman and Harmon Allen, who preceded her in death. On June 5, 1936, she married Max "Red" Blosser, who died in 1991.

Mrs. Blosser was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lima. She spent many years serving her church in many capacities. She and her husband owned and operated Blosser's Super Dollar store, in Columbus Grove, for many years. She remained very active until a stroke in 2005 that left her impaired and she spent the remaining years of her life at Hilty Home, where she received great care and comfort.

Survivors include a son, Barry Blosser, of Columbus Grove; a daughter, Sharon (Gary) Lazane, of Liberty, Mo.; four grandchildren, Ronda (Charles) Wood, of Liberty, Mo., Jaime (Ed) Polan, of Findlay, Clark (April) Obee, of Kansas City, Mo., and Ryan (Tara) Auchmuty, of Columbus Grove; six great-grandchildren, Brianna and Mackenzie Wood, both of Liberty, Mo., Morgan, Loudon and Laney Auchmuty, of Columbus Grove, and Dylan Obee, of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Betty Blosser Myers (John) Lucas, of Liberty, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Lynne Blosser Auchmuty; a brother, John Allen; and three sisters, Alice Stover, Colleen Bell and Melba Bender.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
