John H. Camper
John H. Camper, 57, was found dead June 14, 2004 at his residence. He was born Feb.12, 1947, in Lima to Carl F. and Goldie M. Shepherd Camper, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Camper had been an assembler at Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Joy E. Trewyn of Lima; a brother, Roger A. (Charlotte) Camper Sr. of Lima; a sister, Dianna J. (Bill) Van Schoyck of Lima: three stepgrandchildren, Daniel Cameron, Christopher Futrell and Michelle Futre and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1275.
