Michael Thomas Callahan



Michael Thomas Callahan, 67, 504 N. West-st, died Sunday morning at St. Rita's hospital following a 15-day illness.

A native of Lima, he had lived in this community all his life and was widely known. He formerly was a machinist at the B. & O. railroad and before his retirement, was custodian of St. Rose church.

Surviving are three sisters and three brothers. They are Jose, Anna and Ruth at home; John, at home; Leo D. of Chicago, and Frank J. Callahan, 419 W. McKibben. Three nieces and three nephews survive.

Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wesnesday in St. Rose Catholic church with Msgr. James S. Elder officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Gethsemane cemetery.

The body is at the residence, 504 N. West-st, and will remain there until time for services. Arrangements are in charge of the Cantwell funeral home.
