Katherine Delph
Katherine Delph, 71 died at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 1996 at her residence.
She was born Nov.7, 1924 in Lima to Steve and Jennie Goldsmith Scott.
She married George P. Delph, who died Dec. 8, 1976. Mrs. Delph retired as clerk from J. C. Penny in 1985. She attended Allentown Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons; George P. (Marilyn) Delph Jr. and James C. (Carol) Delph, both of Lima, Brian N. (Phyllis) Delph of Bartlett, TN; two daughters Rebecca J. (Ed) Young and Janice (Jim) Mc Bride, both of Lima; five brothers, George Scott of Kettering, Steve Scott. Alex Scott, Perry Scott, and Dan Scott, all of Lima; three sisters Mrs. Marry Maxwell, and Helen Buchanan, both of Lima, Linda Yant of Glendale, AZ; 11 grand children; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Steven Delph; and two brothers James and Charles Scott.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the West Wayne Street Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Homes. The Rev. Rita Brown will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Rita's Hospice or Allentown Memorial Methodist Church.
