Lucy Ann Drolet
A well-known and respected resident of Delphos, passed to her reward early Thursday morning when Mrs. Alfred A. Drolet died at the family home at 134 East Sixth street. Death came at 12:45 a.m. resulting from a complication of diseases she had been suffering for several years past.
Lucy Ann Kane was born to Thomas and Mary Ann Kane at Gull Lake, Michigan on May 18, 1864. She was 65 years, 4 month and 1 day of age at the time of her death.
She was married to Alfred A. Drolet at St. Phillip's church at Battle creek, Michigan by Reverend Father Van Antwerp, November 17, 1887. They moved to Delphos immediately after their marriage and have made this city their home since that time.
Mrs. Drolet was an active member of St. John's Catholic church and of organizations of that church. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Benevolent society, of the Sacred Heart League, of the Catholic Daughters of America, of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, of the Altar Society and of the G.I.A. to the B. of L. E.
Surviving to mourn her death are her husband and six children; Francis of Niles, Mich.; Emmet and Leigh of Detroit; Louis, of Richland, Mich.; Mrs. John Dillon of Toledo, and Miss Lula Drolet of Kalamazoo, Mich. Nine grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Elizabeth Maurer of Battle creek, Mich., and a brother, Frank E. Kane, Gull Lake, Mich. also survive. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning and the body will then be sent to Battle Creek, Mich., for burial at Mr. Olivet cemetery at that place, Saturday
