Goldie A. Fess

Goldie A. Fess, 85, died at 10:50 a.m. July 29, 1997, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 12, 1912, in Hume to John and Dora Gaskill Shanks. She married Burr Fess, whodied Feb. 18, 1966.

Mrs. Fess was a homemaker.

Survivors include a brother, Charles E. Shanks of Lima; and a sister, Opal L. Mayer of Cridersville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford Shanks and Harley Place.

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawnee Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour before services Thursday at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes.
