Harley E. Fess
Harley E. Fess, 87, of 250 Cool Rd. was dead on arrival at Lima Memorial Hospital Wednesday at 7 p.m., following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Dec. 26, 1887, in Allen County, the son of Levi and Levina Beigler Fess. He was married to Ida May Starkey Fess of Oaks Convalescent Home.
A retired pipefitter with Clark Equipment Co., Mr. Fess was a member of the South Side Church of Christ.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Dale Fess of 250 Cool Rd.; a sister, Mrs. David (Lydia) Mayer of Uniopolis; a brother, Harold Fess of Dayton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman, Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
