Jesse E. Fess



Jesse D. [sic] Fess, 69, of 531 Brower Rd., Apt. 25, was dead on arrival at 4:45 this morning at St. Rita's Hospital, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Oct. 11, 1905, in Allen County, the son of Levi and Levina Fess. He was married to Pauline Bryan Fess on Oct. 10, 1936, and she survives.

Mr. Fess, who retired in 1970 from the Superior Coach Corp., is survived by a son Dillon W. Staas of 2636 Debbie Dr.; two brothers, Harley Fess of Cool Road and Harold Fess of Dayton; a sister Mrs. Lydia Mayer of Uniopolis; and eight step-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Chiles and Sons-Laman West Wayne Street Chapel, Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
