John Edward Nicoline



John Edward Nicoline, 55, of 506 W. Vine st died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Hospital of burns received while working at the Lima Refinery of the Standard Oilco. of Ohio.

Mr. Nicolne received severe burns June 23, while reparing a still at the refinery. He had been in St. Rita's since the accident.

Born Sept. 29, 1892, in Lima, he had resided here all his life. Mr. Nicoline was employed as a stillman at the Lima Refinery for 32 years, and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club.

He also was a member of the Lima Eagles lodge, St. John's Catholic church and the Holy Name society of the church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Sunderhaus, 1313 N. Metcalf st. and Mrs. Joan Maurer, 506 W. Vine st; a brother, Marrhew, Romulus, Mich., A son, Pfc. John William died Jan. 6, 1945, in Japan.

Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9:15 am Wednesday in St. John's church with the Rev. Albert A. Fater as celbrant. Place of burial will be announced. The body was to be removed Monday afternon from Cantwell mortuary to the residence to remain until time of services.
