Alice Ida Prichard



Alice Ida Prichard, 92, of Centreville, Mich., formerly of Lima, died Sept. 17, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Lima to Jacob E. and Ida Belle Chiles Fetter, who preceded her in death. On April 20, 1935, in Geyer, she married Fred S. Prichard, who died March 2, 1976.

Mrs. Prichard was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and had worked at hospice. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church and Child Evangelism Fellowship for 20 years. She had attended Fish Lake Bible Church, Centreville Baptist Church and Union Chapel Missionary, Lima. She was a 1933 graduate of Lafayette High School. She enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Adahbelle (John) Rumer, of Harrod, Faith (Art) Shears, of Centreville, Mich., and Linda Lou (Ned) Workman, of Cheboygan, Mich.; three sons, Phillip (Patricia) Prichard, of Centreville, Mich., Wayne (Linda) Prichard, of Burlington, Mich., and William (Patricia) Prichard, of Centreville, Mich.; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Fetter, of Lima; and two daughters-in-law, Gretchen Prichard and Pamela Prichard, both of Lima.

She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Donald Prichard; two grandchildren, Travis Shears and Cherrin Prichard; four sisters, Lavon Fetter, Cretoria Hefner, Lucille Augsburger and Henrietta Fett; and five brothers, Paul, Russell, Tom, Louis and George Fetter.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Bethany Chapel, Three Rivers, Mich. Burial will be in Prairie River Cemetery, Centreville, Mich.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Eley Funeral Home, Centreville, Mich.

Memorial contributions may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship or Rural Bible Ministries.
