Mary Louise Rode



Mary Louise Rode, 70, died at 11 a.m. March 27, 1995, at her home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Lima to Lester and Ida Houx Miller. On Dec. 31, 1974, she married Charles "Red" Rode, who survives.

Mrs. Rode was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Dennis L. (Barbara) Shepherd of Lima; two daughters, Linda (David) Myers of Lima and Susan (Terry) Runneals of Cairo, and four stepdaughters, Peggy (John) Ladden of Lima, Patricia Warner of Spencerville, Janice (Richard) Duff of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Barbara (Vick) Russell of Findlay; three sisters, Virginia Wheeler and Eva Jean Baker, both of Lima, and Gloria Jo Sorgen of Beavercreek; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Kurtz and Letha Boop.

Graveside services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial park Cemetery Committal Chapel. The Rev. Ben Lowell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
