Mabel V. Rope
Mrs. Mabel V. Rope, 70, of 706 E. Taylor, died at 5 p.m. Friday in Lima Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for eight days.
Born in Terre Haute, Ind., Nov. 25, 1904, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Missouri Belle Justice Tallman. Her husband, Clarence E., died in 1962.
Surviving are one son, James E. Victory of Reno, Nev.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Fagan at home; two brothers, Charles of Sacramento, Calif., and Russell of 1723 Camp; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Evans of 778 Oak, Mrs. Leona Black of 710 E. Michigan, Mrs. Goldie Winget of 706 E. Michigan and Mrs. Dorothy Parkinson of 1608 W. Robb; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman, Revs. Willard Thomas and Gene Dreyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
