Cary F. Shepherd
Cary F. Shepherd 81,of 1007 N. Adams, died at 1:05 a.m. this morning at his home after an extended illness. Born August 22, 1893 in Darke County, Ohio , he was the son of Nathaniel and Vinnie Colson Shepherd. He married Nora Chambers April 17, 1913, and she survives. Also surviving are a son Floyd H. Shepherd of Route 7,: two daughters Mrs.Virginia (Leroy) Gesler, of 3888 State Rd, and Mrs Betty Farler, of 2145 old N. Dixie Hwy; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was a retired contractor and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, The Rev. Gilbert Harris officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7::00 p. m. tonight at the Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Chapel.
