WILLIAM SNOOK DEAD

ANOTHER OLD CITIZEN PASSES AWAY

His Funeral Service Will Be Held Tomorrow

Last night at 8:30 o'clock, William Snook, one of Lima's old citizens passed away at his home on West Wayne Street, after an illness of over ten weeks.

He has been afflicted with consumption several months, but has been bedfast only the last ten weeks of his illness.

Mr. Snook was in his 77th year, being born at Nassau, Germany November 11, 1811. He spent the earlier part of his life in Germany in his native village, where he learned the cabinet maker's trade, which he worked at up to within the last few years, or until his health would not admit of hard work.

He came to this country in 1853, and had he lived until next Sunday would have been in Lima just 35 years. He brought his family to this city when he came here, and three of the children still live to comfort his aged wife who still lives. Two of his sons died just lately, Peter Snook being one, and Foreman Snook, of the P.F. Yards, being the other.

Mr. Snook was in moderate circumstances, and leaves his aged wife to the care of his children. His funeral services will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the German Reformed Church, Rev. Steppler officiating.

His remains will be interred at Woodlawn cemetery by the side of his two sons.
